Preparation before operation

Equipment inspection:

Operation process
Start and preheat:
Insert the key and turn it clockwise to the start position, and wait for the engine to start.
After the engine starts, release the key immediately to allow the engine to preheat. The preheating time is determined according to the manufacturer's recommendations and the outside temperature.
Unlocking controls: There is usually a red locking lever fixed to the armrest on the left side of the excavator cab. When the joystick is lowered, the joystick control is locked. Push the joystick up until it clicks to unlock the control. Never unlock the control before checking the surroundings to make sure there are no people or objects nearby.
Starting and driving:
Starting: Slowly release the brake and lightly step on the accelerator to start the excavator smoothly.
Driving: During driving, keep the excavator stable and follow the principle of "slow speed, steady speed, slow speed" to avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration.
Steering: When turning, you should slow down in advance and turn the steering wheel slowly to avoid sudden turns and sudden stops.
Braking: During driving, if you need to slow down or stop, you should lightly step on the brake in advance to avoid sudden braking.
Operating tips
Control mode: Determine whether the machine is in ISO or SAE control mode. In ISO mode, the left hand controls the swing and boom, and the right hand controls the rocker and bucket movement; SAE mode is the opposite. Most newer excavators have a display in the cab that shows the current mode.
Use of operating lever:
Left handle: Push forward, the dipper stick extends; pull back, the dipper stick retracts; push left, the excavator body rotates to the left; push right, the excavator body rotates to the right.
Right handle: Push forward, the boom drops; pull back, the boom rises; push left, the bucket rolls in; push right, the bucket flips out.
Use of walking pedal:
Left pedal: Push forward, the left track moves forward; pull back, the left track moves backward. Push the left pedal alone, the excavator turns to the right.
Right pedal: Push forward, the right track moves forward; pull back, the right track moves backward. Push the right pedal alone, the excavator turns to the left. With the left pedal forward and the right pedal backward, the excavator can turn 360° clockwise on the spot; with the right pedal forward and the left pedal backward, the excavator can turn 360° counterclockwise on the spot.
